I’m a PhD candidate in Jim MacMahon’s lab at Utah State University in Logan, Utah. My research focuses on the links between the biological traits of species and their sensitivity to habitat characteristics. For my dissertation, I have been working with spider communities, which offer a fascinating diversity of species that differ in many traits. I think that a better understanding of how species differ in their perception of the environment is essential if we want to improve our ability to predict the effects of habitat modification on biodiversity.
